March 19, 2018 - Colorado -The Women In Fitness Association (WIFA) announced today eight new sponsors from all walks of the fitness industry.
The Women in Fitness Association (WIFA) will hold its first live event in San Diego on honoring the women who 'birthed' an industry, a celebration of the innovators and creators who pioneered educational development, programming, and teaching skills to grow the industry. In the same tradition that these early starters came together to help shape the industry, new WIFA sponsors have also come together to support current and future industry innovators including many women-led companies. Sponsors include GroupEx PRO, Drishti Beats, Matrix, Midtown Health, Mo Hagan, Piloxing, Precor, and SCW Fitness.
WIFA, founded by fitness industry leader, Lindsey Rainwater, was created with the vision of offering space in a male-dominated industry to see more women in the boardroom, championing each other to achieve, and sharing success through collaboration. SCW and Sara Kooperman is honored to be supporting WIFA. Sara who sits Board of Directors says that she is “excited” to be volunteering her personal time to give back. "It is time to pass the torch and help young people entering our industry or those who are older but less experienced." stated Kooperman. "When I entered the workforce, there were no women to provide me support on how to balance business and home. 50% of people graduating from college are female. 50% of people matriculating from graduate school are women. Yet, only 4.6% of entrepreneurs are female. And until just this month, when you google "female entrepreneur" one of the top ten images was Entrepreneur Barbie." laughed Kooperman "It is time for a change, and I want to be part of that change."
“We are proud to sponsor WIFA in their endeavors to create global collaboration by supporting the professional women in the fitness industry.” says Natasha Bellroth, one of the Piloxing founders, “The whole team here at Piloxing, as both members and supporters of WIFA are with the organization by supporting the cause of creating this community to ensure that women in the fitness industry can find their place and rise to their fullest potential.”
Karla Anderson, Senior Field Marketing Manager at Precor, comments: “Precor strives to fulfill the needs of today’s demanding members, both female and male, with personalized, high-quality products and service built on a philosophy of innovation and fitness is foremost. As a corporate sponsor of WIFA we acknowledge and recognize the importance of women in the fitness industry workplace and the significant contribution they make in driving the business at all levels.”
